the knobs are digital, which means they take a few spins to hit max volume and their level is only displayed on dim lights that are hard to see during the day
There is a digital mixer app for it if you want to have more control over the volume and EQ, but you may just end up running it at maximum.
It is self contained and battery powered. It is enough for smaller actions alone. Battery life is 10+ hours for voice and less for music, but still plenty.
It has an output to hook up to other speakers.
